Why is Natural Micellar Cleansing Water so Good for Your Skin?

Micellar water is specifically meant to be used as THE alternative to regular tap water. We all know that the tap water contains unfortunately many substances that are not good for our skin.

Typical Tap Water Content:
  • Chlorine
  • Fluorine compounds
  • Trihalomethanes (THMs)
  • Salts of: arsenic, radium, aluminium, copper, lead, mercury, cadmium, barium,
  • Hormones
  • Nitrates
  • Pesticides
This does not sound good, right? Pesticides and Nitrates are definitely not welcomes by the skin, and not mention all the other substances that are in regular tap water.

What is Micellar Cleansing Water?

It comes from France, and that's why it is also called the French cleanse. Pure micellar water is still a beauty secret. Even in the USA. You find all kinds of micellar cleansing water in the stores and online but are they what it supposed to be? Are these commercial micellar water as good as it is been marketed? Let's look at the ingredients of these products:

Content of the Garnier Micellar Water (it is not cruelty free)
AQUA/WATER - ok
CYCLOPENTASILOXANE - it's a silicone which is been said to be ok but there is more to it - Find more information about silicons in this article -
ISOHEXADECANE - Synthetic petrochemical—which though generally considered safe, is suspected of being an environmental toxin by Environment Canada.
POTASSIUM PHOSPHATE - Used in medicine and food but is not recommended as a healthy substance - See also this article -
SODIUM CHLORIDE - In beauty products it is used as an oral care agent, flavoring agent, viscosity increasing agent, and is also seen as a thickener in some cases.
HEXYLENE GLYCOL - Yucky! Hexylene glycol has, in some studies, caused skin irritation in volunteers and rabbits.
DIPOTASSIUM PHOSPHATE - Used in Food as well - not considers to be safe - See this article -
DISODIUM EDTA - Food, Cosmetic preservative. It is UNSAFE to use more than 3 grams of EDTA per day. Very suspicious ingredient.

But the substance is still found in creams, makeup removers and cleansing tissues. The Danish Consumer Council THINK Chemicals has notified authorities about 36 products... read more ...

Research also showed that certain ingredients are tested on animals. We don't support this. No animal should suffer for the sake of human beauty!
This is not inviting. Who wants to add this water to the skin? Honestly, it is not a good solution because it will negatively affect the skin. Only 2 ingredients are basically safe.

That's why it is a remarkable difference between washing your face with water and cleansing your face with Micellar cleansing water. The difference is in the effect.

Why is Natural Micellar Cleansing Water so Good for Your Skin?

Micellar water is a multi-purpose cleanser used as a facial wash, makeup remover and moisturizer.  It
Cleanses,
Purifies and
Softens the skin.

Micelles are made up of several molecules that have the capacity to attract impurities and oil without leaving the skin dry. At face value, one can easily conclude that it looks like water and has the viscosity of water but on touching it, you will notice it has a different texture compared to water. This 100% natural micellar cleansing water is effective on all skin types and respects the pH balance of your skin.

How to Use Natural Micellar Cleansing Water

1. Don’t Rinse Off with Water.
2. Use a cotton pad that is soft and absorbing.
Just because the Micellar water evenly breaks up the makeup on your face doesn’t mean you do not need something to get it off your face. For effective cleansing use a circular cotton pad. It gently takes off all make up or dust.

3. If you use the micellar water spray use a cotton pad to wipe it off.

The beauty of Micellar water, especially the Aviva Pure Natural Micellar Cleansing Water is, that it has ZERO chemical contents. It makes a super-gentle cleansing method that will not irritate the skin during the cleansing process.

natural micellar cleansing water removes makeup better than water
Use Micellar Water to Remove your Makeup
It's not recommended to sleep with makeup on the face. That would be a classical "skincare scandal" indeed. Why?
Makeup long enough on the skin will for sure clog the pores. This will cause pimples, bad skin tone and inflammation because it accumulates bacteria on the skin.

RULE NUMBER 1:
Always remove the makeup and even if you don't wear makeup, clean your face and decollete before going to bed. The best is to use natural micellar cleansing water as part of your daily routine.

Use after your work-out
If you are running short in time but you want to look good, use the natural micellar cleansing water after your workout. It removes all the sweat from your face, and is better than water!
Your skin will feel refreshed and it makes a big difference.
