Tips for Growing Hair Fast by Aviva Pure

1. Easy On The Hot Water

Using warm water is recommended during shampoo and conditioning to open up the hair’s cuticles. This allows the shampoos to remove any dirt, oils, or build-up from your hair, and for the conditioner to penetrate the hair cuticle to moisturize your locks.

However, water that is too hot will have a damaging effect on the hair. When the water is too hot, it allows too much moisture to escape from the hair shaft. This leads to dry, frizzy, hair that is easy to break. (Hint: if you are already susceptible to frizz, you might want to turn down the hot water.)

Yuck.

2. A Cold-Water Rinse Is A Must

The opposite effect of warm water, rinsing with cold water at the end of each shower closes the hair cuticles and prevents  dirt, grease, and oil from accumulating on the hair and scalp.

And because a cold water rinse locks in the moisture, your hair is less prone to frizz. Your hair remains healthier and stronger over time, allowing natural and uninterrupted hair growth.

Rule of thumb: More moisture = less frizz

3. No Poo?

A relatively new concept, the "no poo” method has seen increased popularity as of late.

For a good reason.

Shampoos are a detergent. Sure they are great at cleaning your hair, but in the process they strip the hair of it’s natural oil, Sebum. Sebum is essential to keep the hair conditioned and healthy. Over time we strip the sebum from the hair, it causes the body to overproduce more sebum to compensate for what was lost. This leads to excess oil build-up on the hair and scalp.

Using the "no poo method”, shampoo is substituted for alternatives such as baking soda and apple cider vinegar. Together, these naturally balance the hairs PH and retrain the hair to go back to producing its natural level of sebum.

4. Or Shampoo Every Other Day

A long misconception has has been that you must wash your hair daily. And while shampoo is important for cleansing the hair and scalp, they strips hair of its natural oils. Over time, this causes hair to become frail and break off. A major roadblock in fast hair growth.

Instead, skip a day or two between shampooing. During non-shampoo days,  just rinse and put a conditioner such as coconut oil in your hair to keep it moisturized and healthy in-between shampoos. This will ensure hair continues to grow healthy and strong.

5. Only Brush Wet Hair With Wide Tooth Comb

How many times have you been in a hurry and quickly brushed your hair directly after stepping outside of the shower?

Not good.

Soaking wet hair is fragile and more prone to breakage. And brushing while hair is wet is one of the most damaging actions you can do to your hair.

If you really must brush your hair when it’s wet, use a wide tooth comb. Since the comb is wide,  they are less likely cause hair breakage when combing, especially to curly and tangled hair.

6. Use a Microfiber Towel. (Seriously, It Makes a Difference)

Rubbing your hair with a cotton bath towel after creates friction that damages the cuticles, leading to frizz and breakage.

Enter a microfiber towel.

Because of he microfiber towel lisse crepe fabric, the amount of frizz the towel generates on the hair is greatly reduced, meaning no more mornings of looking like you put your finger in a light socket. It also absorbs moisturize much fast, so when it comes time to combing and blow drying your less likely to be damaged by breakage

7. Switch Around Your Ponytail Placement

Tight ponytails maybe give you a cute look, but they also can damage hair when used over a long period of time. The hair near the front of the scalp become damaged to the pulling from a ponytail, and over time begin to fall out. If you always wear the ponytail in the same spot on your head, you put yourself at risk to permanent damaged in the spot the hair is being pulled

However, mixing up the location of the ponytail (high, low, side), keeps the same spot on the scalp from being constantly pulled.  This should allow the hair to continue to grow strong and healthy.
